How I use AI on this site
Short version: I come up with the ideas and concepts. AI helps with research and drafting. I proofread every post before it goes up.
Where the ideas come from
The topics, the angles and what gets tested come from me: from my own research, my teaching and the questions students bring to me.
Where AI helps
AI helps me research each topic and put together the drafts. It saves me hours. It doesn't replace checking.
What I do myself
- I proofread every post in full and approve it before it's published. Nothing goes up automatically.
- Prices, free-plan limits and features are checked on each tool's own website when the post is written, and the post says when.
- Once I've approved a post, AI doesn't touch it again. If a post needs updating, the update comes back to me, and the post shows the date it changed.
Who's responsible
I'm Ose Okieimen, the editor of ThesisStack, and I'm responsible for everything on it. Spotted a mistake? Tell me on X at @ErhuTakes and I'll fix it.
What I'd tell you about AI in your own work
Use it to find, sort and check. Keep the thinking, the argument and the final words your own. And check your university's rules on declaring AI use, because they differ a lot from place to place.
